Job Summary The Service Technician, under the direction of the Scheduler and Service Manager, will be responsible for providing specialty services to Priority?s existing and new customers.
The Service Technician is an individual with extensive knowledge of quality control/assurance programs in various fields.
This individual must be well-versed in all new and existing equipment and industry standard.
The Service Technician must always keep the mission of quality and customer service experience as a first priority while ensuring that appropriate legislative rules and regulations are followed.
This individual is able to emphasize the importance of adhering to and/or surpassing customer expectations in the fulfillment of work projects and service work.
This individual will train on the importance of having a high level of attention to detail, and taking notes of defects and or equipment issues.
Provides leadership to a team of skilled technicians on large projects.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Job Duties
Diagnose, repair and maintain all brands of HVAC related equipment including but not limited to: Furnace, Air Conditioner, ERV/HRV, Thermostat, Fans, Air Quality Equipment, Water Heaters, Unit Heaters, MUA Systems, Zoning and Boilers.
Support customer base by resolving questions, concerns, and technical issues, as well as handling customer inquiries and complaints.
Analyze problems and make recommendations as to root causes and corrective actions
Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner
Maintain a high level of customer service
Troubleshoot technical problems related to products and services
Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
Ensure that client specifications and requirements are completed as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
Must be able to train workers with minimal previous work experience.
Able to repair and/or provide knowledge to workers who are seeking guidance.
Conduct service calls and drive company vehicle as required during regular hours.
Training Representative ? attend all new or updated product training.
All other duties as necessary.
Job Requirements
G2/G1 gas license is required
313A/313D Journeyperson is required
More than 5 years? experience in a service environment is preferred
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
Meticulous records maintenance skills
Self-motivation with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Highly developed understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
Working at heights training, AWP and WHMIS 2015 training considered an asset
Ability to quickly pick up new product and service knowledge, and communicate that knowledge effectively to customers
Firm understanding of electrical schematics and sequence of operations in regards to HVAC/HVACR equipment
Able to diagnose, repair and maintain all brands of HVAC related equipment including but not limited to: Furnace, Air Conditioner, ERV/HRV, Thermostat, Fans, Air Quality Equipment, Water Heaters, Unit Heaters, MUA Systems, Zoning and Boilers.
High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
