Physiotherapist

Duties
The Physiotherapist provides physiotherapy services to improve or maintain the mobility and physical functioning of older adults, focusing on assessment, treatment, and discharge planning within a team setting. The role includes clinical supervision of Rehabilitation Assistants and students, and accountability to the Clinical Manager.
Hard requirements
  • Registered with, and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent, from an accredited school
  • Knowledge of geriatric physical medicine, normal and abnormal aging processes and the scope and practice of Physiotherapy
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound clinical judgment and utilize a holistic approach emphasizing quality of life
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to attend work regularly; demonstrated by an acceptable attendance record
