Physiotherapist - ambulatory hematology-oncology
Duties
The Physiotherapist provides physical therapy to children with cancer, focusing on minimizing symptoms, improving function, and enhancing quality of life during and after treatment. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and supporting patients and families with education and guidance.
Hard requirements
- Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Minimum 1 year Pediatric physio experience within the last 4 years in the care of infants, children and their families within a tertiary care/acute care setting
- Demonstrated excellence in communication (verbal and non-verbal), critical thinking, mentoring, coaching and working within an interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrated facilitation, coordination, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation skills
- Evidence of ability to facilitate change, foster innovation and model the values of the organization
- Evidence of continuous learning
Pay & benefits
- $44–$57/hr
