Job description
Veterinarians diagnose diseases, treat sick or injured animals, vaccinate them, advise clients on animal care, perform examinations including post-mortem, and supervise staff in a private practice veterinary clinic.
Hard requirements
- Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry
- 1 year to less than 2 years experience
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
- Canadian food inspection agency (CFIA) inspector training
- Valid driver's licence
