Speech-language pathologist
Job description
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides assessment, planning, treatment, and education for clients in community, facility, and home settings, with an anticipated pediatric caseload. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring students, and promoting health principles within Prairie Mountain Health.
Hard requirements
- Eligible for active practicing licensure to practice Speech Language Pathology with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba
- Current Basic Life Saving (BLS) Certification within the past 12 months as per Prairie Mountain Health Policy PPG-00002 CPR Training
- Province of Manitoba Class 5 Drivers License, or equivalent from province of residence, and access to a personal vehicle
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), Internet applications, and other Information Technology
- Demonstrated organizational skills, problem solving, decision making, flexibility, communication skills, and ability to work independently
- Ability to respect and promote confidentiality and a culturally diverse population
- Ability to perform the duties of the position on a regular basis
Work format
- Duties may include the requirement to work after hours and weekends
- Community, facility (acute care and personal care home), and home based settings
