Job description
The urologist studies, diagnoses, and treats abnormalities and diseases of the genitourinary tract, providing care to patients of all ages including consultations, diagnostic procedures, and acute or long-term medical and surgical management. The role involves working with other health professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients and their loved ones.
Hard requirements
- Degree from a recognized medical school (accredited by CACMS, LCME, or listed in World Directory of Medical Schools) and residency leading to licensure in urology
- Recognized certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in orthopedic surgery
- Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick
- Active member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association or equivalent liability insurance association
- Member of the New Brunswick Medical Society
- Privileges with Vitalité Health Network
- Registration with New Brunswick Medicare
- Bilingual essential
