Job description
The gynecologic oncologist focuses on the study and treatment of gynecological cancer, providing individualized care and support to adult patients and their loved ones throughout their disease trajectory. They work on interdisciplinary teams to develop evidence-based multimodal therapeutic approaches and take an active part in teaching activities.
Hard requirements
- Degree from a recognized medical school (accredited by CACMS or LCME, or listed in World Directory with note for Canada)
- Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Fellowship granting a licence in Gynecologic Oncology
- Recognized certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Recognized certification in Gynecologic Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick
- Active membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association or equivalent liability insurance association
- Membership with the New Brunswick Medical Society
- Privileges with Vitalité Health Network
- Registration with New Brunswick Medicare
- Bilingual essential: Written and spoken competence in French and spoken competence in English are required
- Ability to remain calm, organizational skills, effective time management skills, ability to set priorities
- Patient service mindset, tact, adaptability, sound judgment, problem-solving skills, attention to detail
- Initiative, creativity, sense of responsibility, interest in increasing personal knowledge
- Ability to communicate with colleagues, patients, families and visitors with tact and courtesy

Pay & benefits
- $126K–$607K/yr
- Salary-based
- Moving expenses allowance
- Possibility of a recruitment incentive depending on eligibility, as determined by the Department of Health (return of service required)
Work format
- Day, On Call, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.
