Job description
The respirologist focuses on the study of the respiratory system and the diagnosis, management and prevention of respiratory diseases. The role provides care to patients presenting respiratory symptoms or lung diseases of all origins, including chronic, uncomplicated or complex respiratory conditions and respiratory failure.
Hard requirements
  • Degree from a recognized medical school and residency granting a licence in internal medicine
  • Recognized certification in respiratory medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick
  • Active membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association or equivalent liability insurance association
  • Membership in the New Brunswick Medical Society
  • Privileges with Vitalité Health Network
  • Registration with New Brunswick Medicare
  • Bilingual essential
