medical laboratory technologist
Job description
Laboratory Technologist I performs routine and complex laboratory testing, phlebotomy, quality control, and preventative maintenance in Biochemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, and Microbiology while promoting patient safety.
Hard requirements
- Graduation from a recognized program with a diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or a degree in Medical Laboratory Science is required
- Current and continuing certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) as a general MLT or applicable subject MLT is required
- Current and continuing registration with the NL Council of Health Professionals is required
- A satisfactory record of work performance is required
Pay & benefits
- LX27000 ($32.16 - $40.20 per hour)
