Job description
The Registered Midwife provides autonomous primary maternity care to individuals and newborns during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum periods. The role involves admitting and discharging patients in hospital, conducting births in hospital and community settings, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Hard requirements
  • Successful completion of a recognized midwifery education program per CMNL and NLCHP requirements
  • Current and continuing registration with NLCHP and CMNL
  • Knowledge of maternal and child health issues
  • Strong decision making, interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an interprofessional team
Pay & benefits
  • CG-44 ($48.25 - $59.57 per hour, including negotiated wage adjustment)
