emergency medical technician (EMT)

Job description
Emergency Medical Technicians provide transportation and patient care for non-urgent low acuity patients, maintain and operate ambulances and related equipment, and respond to calls through the 911 system.
Hard requirements
  • Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status or work permit entitling you to work in Canada
  • High school graduation plus an Emergency Medical Technician program/course
  • Active registration with the Paramedic Association of New Brunswick (or visit www.panb.ca if not currently registered)
  • Valid New Brunswick Class 4 Driver's Licence (or equivalent) with minimum one year driving experience
  • Written and spoken competence in English or French required; spoken competency in the other official language preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently as a team member, maintain good attendance, and uphold confidentiality and patient safety
Pay & benefits
  • $26–$49/hr
  • Salary: As per collective agreement
Work format
  • Full time permanent
  • Rotating days, weekends, and statutory holidays (subject to change due to operational requirements)
  • Location: Black's Harbour, NB
