Job description
Radiation Therapists I work with doctors, medical physicists, and patients to design treatment plans and deliver radiation therapy using advanced computer systems and equipment. The role involves navigating technical equipment while providing empathetic, patient-centered care for the Provincial Cancer Care Program in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Hard requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of university education with successful completion of one single-semester course each in Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and Social Science
- Minimum cumulative grade point average of B-
- Meet school admission requirements for the Radiation Therapy program at The Michener Institute of Education at UHN/University of Toronto on own merit
Pay & benefits
- $33–$42/hr
- Funding support for tuition and books may be available
- Return-in-service agreement required to work in Cancer Care Program upon graduation; length depends on total funding provided
