pharmacy technician

Job description
Responsible for technical tasks in the Pharmacy Department, including preparing, storing, and distributing medication for acute care and long-term care clients. Duties include dispensing pharmaceuticals, filling prescriptions, ordering from pharmaceutical companies, compounding, record keeping, and data collection.
Hard requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Technician Program or successful completion of the Pharmacy Technician Bridging Program
  • Current registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated keyboarding and computer skills
  • Demonstrated high level of alertness and concentration when performing tasks
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Satisfactory record of work performance
  • Satisfactory certificate of conduct
Pay & benefits
  • CGHSP29 (CAD28.85 - CAD31.85 per hour) plus applicable Labrador Allowance
