emergency medical technician - paramedic/advanced care paramedic (EMT - P/ACP)
Job description
Advanced Care Paramedics provide medical support to patients on scene and en route to hospitals, responding to emergency calls and transporting patients.
Hard requirements
- Must have written and spoken competency in one official language and spoken competency in the other
- Must be entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status or work permit)
- Must demonstrate ability to work efficiently as a team member and maintain good attendance
- Must have high regard for confidentiality and patient safety
- Must have completed an Advanced Care Paramedic program/course of over six months
- Must be registered and active Advanced Care Paramedic with the Paramedic Association of New Brunswick
- Must have valid New Brunswick Class 4 Driver's Licence (or equivalent)
- Must be willing to participate in pilot projects, research initiatives, focus groups, and community Paramedicine duties
Pay & benefits
- $26–$49/hr
As per collective agreement.
Work format
- Full time permanent
- Rotating days and nights, weekends, and statutory holidays; subject to change due to operational requirements
- Location: Bathurst, NB
