advanced care paramedic
Job description
Advanced Care Paramedics provide medical support to patients on scene and en route, responding to calls and transporting patients to hospital. The role is based on the National Occupational Competency Profile for Advanced Care Paramedics and involves clinical responsibilities as well as community paramedicine duties.
Hard requirements
- Written and spoken competency in one official language (English or French) and spoken competency in the other
- Entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status or work permit)
- Advanced Care Paramedic program/course of over six months from an accredited institution
- Active registration with the Paramedic Association of New Brunswick
- Valid New Brunswick Class 4 Driver's Licence (or equivalent)
- Proof of completion of a Physical Abilities Test (PAT) within the last 12 months
- Valid CPR level C certification
Pay & benefits
- $26–$49/hr
Salary range as per collective agreement.
Work format
- Full time permanent
- Rotating days and nights, weekends, and statutory holidays; subject to change due to operational requirements
