Job description
Breton Ability is hiring an Occupational Therapist to join the new Disability Support Outreach Team (DSOT) in Cape Breton. The role provides assessment, consultation, and intervention services to support individuals with disabilities in living with greater choice, dignity, and independence.
Hard requirements
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Eligibility for registration or current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, complex support needs, and/or diverse abilities
- Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment, sensory supports, accessibility, assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and participation-focused interventions
- Strong consultation, communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Commitment to trauma-informed, rights-based, and person-directed practice
- Valid driver's license
