Halifax Regional Municipality, September 4, 2026 — The Honourable Lena Metlege Diab, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, will be in the Halifax Regional Municipality to highlight the extension of the federal fuel excise tax relief on gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuels, as part of the government’s efforts to help Canadians lower every day costs. A media availability will follow.
