The Honourable Lena Metlege Diab, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, will welcome 50 of Canada’s newest citizens from 26 different countries at a special Canada Day citizenship ceremony. Citizenship Judge Rania Sfeir will preside over the ceremony.

Ottawa, June 30, 2026—The Honourable Lena Metlege Diab, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, will welcome 52 of Canada’s newest citizens from 26 different countries at a special Canada Day citizenship ceremony. Citizenship Judge Rania Sfeir will preside over the ceremony.
