bookkeeper
Job description
This role involves calculating payroll cheques, maintaining financial records and general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing various financial and accounting reports. The position requires attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work under pressure.
Hard requirements
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- 1 year to less than 2 years experience
- Ability to calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Ability to keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Ability to maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Ability to prepare statistical, financial and accounting reports and trial balance of books
- Ability to reconcile accounts
- Personal suitability traits: attention to detail, accurate, reliability, work under pressure
Pay & benefits
- $30–$34/hr
Work format
- Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
