Champion Machining is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist ? Lathe / Mill with programming experience for our precision machining job shop in Surrey, BC. We are looking for a machinist who enjoys setups, programming, and machining a wide variety of custom parts in a jobbing shop environment.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about machining who enjoys problem solving, working with different materials, and producing precision components rather than repetitive production work.

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist and Programmer with experience on CNC lathes and mills . In this role you will utilize your expertise in CNC machining to produce precision parts and components while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathe and milling machines to produce high-quality precision components
Program, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs when required
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining processes
Select tooling and determine machining strategies
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges
Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency
Maintain a clean and safe working environment Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist operating CNC lathes and/or mills
Experience with Haas CNC machines or similar controls
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read technical drawings
Programming experience with Fusion 360, Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM software.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality machining Work Environment This role is ideal for machinists who enjoy working in a job shop environment producing a wide variety of parts rather than repetitive production work.
This position is not suited for production-minded applicants.
Compensation & Benefits
$44?$47 per hour depending on experience
