Some technical knowledge, training and experience in manufacturing environment is required.

Ability to interpret blue prints and drawings.

Problem solving skills.

Understanding fractions and decimals.

Communication skills (English - written and verbal).

Physically fit.

Crane/Hoist safety certificate (training may be provided).

WHMIS. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts pre-shift inspection of cranes/hoists, equipment, and tools.

Reports deficiencies to the production supervisor.

Operates cranes/hoists to transport or position large parts as required.

Assembles, fits and installs prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finish products using hand and power tools according to Production Worksheet and drawing or verbal instructions.

Ability to use brazing (silver & soft solder).

Uses and operate hand tools, power tools in a safe manner.

Positions, aligns and adjust parts for proper fit and puts them together with fasteners.

Cleans equipment, tools and the working area at the end of the shift or as required.

Maintains daily production requirements and ensures quality of products by checking and inspecting finished products for proper quality.

Prepares production reports as required.

Recommends measures to improve productivity and product quality to the supervisor.

Adheres to the company?s policies and procedures.

Follows health and safety rules and procedures.

Works with minimum of supervision.

Requires to cross-train.

Any other duties as required by management from time to time.
