Senior Staff ESD Engineer

Seeking an experienced ESD Engineer to support product development utilizing High Voltage BCD, Power Management, Analog, and Mixed-Signal technologies.
The candidate will work closely with product development teams to deliver robust ESD and Latch-Up protection solutions for automotive, industrial, power, and mixed-signal applications.​ Key Responsibilities​ Support ESD and Latch-Up design reviews for High Voltage BCD products.​ Design and optimize ESD protection structures for analog, power, and mixed-signal ICs.​ Develop and maintain design guidelines and best practices.​ Perform ESD characterization using HBM, CDM, and TLP methodologies.​ Support silicon debug, reliability investigations, and failure analysis activities.​ Collaborate with foundries and technology development teams.​ Support development and qualification of ESD libraries and protection devices.​ Participate in product risk assessment and drive ESD design sign-off activities with internal design teams and customers.​ Required Qualifications​ M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.​ 5+ years of semiconductor ESD design experience.​ Knowledge of: ESD devices physics, HBM, CDM, TLP methodologies, Latch-Up, High Voltage BCD technologies​ Strong understanding of High Voltage BCD device structures, isolation techniques, and reliability challenges.​ Hands-on experience with High Voltage BCD technologies and ESD protection design for analog, power, or mixed-signal products.​ Familiar with Cadence tool flow for analog IC development​ Familiarity with ESD verification tools such as Calibre PERC.​ Experience performing silicon characterization and failure analysis.​ Technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear technical reports, design reviews, and engineering recommendations.​ Communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical risks, recommendations, and methodologies across global teams including Japan and Asia.​ Preferred Qualifications​ Experience with IEC/EMC or system-level ESD considerations Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier .
