Duties
Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, and graders for excavation, grading, and construction tasks in outdoor environments. Interpret blueprints and conduct pre-operational checks to plan methods of operation.
Hard requirements
- No degree, certificate or diploma required
- 1 year to less than 2 years experience
- Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
- Ground Disturbance - Level 1 program
