Duties
The Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan seeks a Lawyer for its Women?s Legal Clinic in Saskatoon to provide trauma-informed legal advice and representation to women and gender-diverse people. The role involves building a meaningful legal practice with autonomy, flexibility, and direct community impact while collaborating with a supportive team.
Hard requirements
- LLB/JD and active membership, or eligibility for membership, with the Law Society of Saskatchewan
- Minimum 2 years of experience in family, criminal, or immigration law
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice
- Understanding of the intersections between gender-based violence and criminalization
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to decolonization, Indigenous legal principles, and equitable access to justice
