welder
Duties
Welders interpret specifications and blueprints to operate welding, cutting, and metal shaping equipment for fabricating or repairing metal parts. They examine welds to ensure they meet standards while maintaining equipment in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
Hard requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Criminal record check
- Knowledge of materials including aluminum, copper, nickel, non-ferrous, stainless steel, and steel/iron
- Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW (TIG), GMAW, and FCAW welding techniques
- Experience with arc, brazing, soldering, and spot welding machines
Pay & benefits
- $37/hr

- On site at various locations
- Work must be completed at the physical location; no remote option
- Environment includes outdoors, heights, confined spaces, dust, heat, noise, and dirt
- Physically demanding with handling heavy loads in a fast-paced environment
