Fill one EG-06 Senior Geomatic Technician position in Quebec City, with a pool established for identical or similar positions across Canada. The role involves planning, organizing, and completing geomatics work, including field surveys, data analysis, and supervising field teams.
Hard requirements
- Post-secondary diploma in geomatics, geodesy or surveying OR a university degree in geomatics OR acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience in topographic surveys or in geodesy or in mapping involving equipment such as GPS, Total Station, Level.
- Experience in drafting technical documents and using Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Experience in processing field datas with specialized softwares such as LISCAD, AutoCAD, Infinity or equivalent.
- Experience coordinating field surveying operations conducted by a team (EG-06 only).
- Knowledge of fundaments and methods in geomatics, legal surveying, geodesy and mapping.
- Knowledge of topographic and geodetic surveying involving specialized equipment and software.
- Ability to communicate, adapt, solve problems, analyze and synthesize information.
- Ability to plan, execute, and supervise surveying operations while ensuring quality management (EG-06 only).
- French essential, Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB.
- Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s Permit.
- Hold a valid Health Canada Medical Certificate.
- Reliability Status security clearance.

- Schedule: Willing and available to work overtime, travel ± 60 nights a year on short notice, and work under adverse conditions including climbing towers over 100 feet.
