Director, grants and proposal development
Duties
The Director of Grants and Proposal Development provides leadership and strategic direction for research funding mechanisms, managing proposal development, grant administration, and prestigious awards portfolios while supervising staff and ensuring compliance with Tri-Agency and other sponsor requirements.
Hard requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred (or Bachelor’s with 7-10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in research administration)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pre-award and post-award research administration, grant proposal review, and funding agency relations
- Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian and international research funding programs, policies, and compliance frameworks (e.g., Tri-Agency, TIPS, Horizon Europe, NIH)
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian research administration policies and practices
- Demonstrated leadership experience developing and coaching high-performing teams
Pay & benefits
