Community recreation supervisor
Duties
The Community Recreation Supervisor provides quality leisure programs, services, and facilities to military members and their families, supervising community fitness, sports, arts, and culture programming while mentoring junior staff and volunteers.
Hard requirements
- High school diploma
- Certification in one recreation program area
- Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
- Experience in planning, organizing, and evaluating recreation programs; program development and instruction; applying policies and legislation; supervising personnel and volunteers; budget administration
- Bilingual (English and French) with functional reading, writing, and oral skills
- Successful completion of HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or Sport, HIGH FIVE QUEST 2, and HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children by end of probation
