apiary manager
Duties
Manage bee colonies for honey and pollination, maintain apiary equipment and farm machinery, and supervise 5-10 people in a rural, outdoor setting. This is a green job contributing to positive environmental outcomes and Canada's net-zero target.
Hard requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 5 years or more of experience
- Apiary and honey harvesting experience including apiary management, automated honey extractor use, detecting bee diseases, manual honey extraction, and treating bees with antibiotics
- Equipment and machinery experience with trucks
- Valid driver's licence and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
