Duties
Identifies and analyzes population needs to design, coordinate, and update community organization programs that promote development. Acts as a resource person for concerned groups.
Hard requirements
  • Bachelor degree in human or social sciences (e.g., social work, psychoeducation, psychology) plus 3 years of experience in group monitoring and project coordination within partnership or community organization; OR College Diploma in related field with 5 years appropriate work experience
  • Work experience with community concertation tables
  • Knowledge of community-based services for families/children in vulnerable contexts
  • Knowledge of social/health issues and impacts of historic events in Eeyou Istchee
  • Knowledge of group care and understanding of families/human relations
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills
  • Autonomous, flexible, discrete, empathetic, creative, solution-oriented, and dynamic
  • Fluent in Cree and English; French is an asset
