addictions counsellor

Duties
Assess, counsel, and develop comprehensive recovery and case management plans for people seeking help for addiction or addiction-related issues. Provide individual and group counseling, educational sessions, and group therapy in the Day Treatment Program.
Hard requirements
  • Experience with group therapy and addiction assessments and interventions
  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), a degree acceptable by the employer with relevant experience, or Bachelor of Chemical Dependency
