community recreation coordinator

Duties
The Community Recreation Supervisor provides quality leisure programs, services, and facilities to military members and their families. This role involves supervising, coordinating, and managing community fitness, sports, arts, culture programming, civic events, libraries, and membership offices.
Hard requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Certification in one recreation program area
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
  • HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport (successful completion by end of probation)
  • HIGH FIVE QUEST 2 (successful completion by end of probation)
  • HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children (successful completion by end of probation)
  • Experience in planning, organizing and evaluating the operations and delivery of recreation programs
  • Experience in program development and instruction
  • Experience in applying policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation
  • Experience in supervising personnel
  • Experience in supervising the work of volunteers
  • Experience in budget administration
  • Competencies in client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership
