general machinist
Duties
Work in general manufacturing by setting up production machinery, fitting and assembling components to close tolerance, and verifying dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
Hard requirements
- Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- Experience with micrometers, callipers, gauges, engine lathes, jig borers, milling machines, shapers, surface grinders, and tapping machines
- Own transportation (public transportation is not available)
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Personal suitability: accurate, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, team player
