Duties
Financial Controller taking ownership of accounting and financial operations across a construction firm, reporting directly to the General Manager. The role involves leading the finance function while managing details from monthly close to construction loan draws and land purchase analysis.
Hard requirements
- CPA, CGA, CMA, or CA designation
- 5+ years of combined accounting and finance experience in construction
- Strong full-cycle accounting knowledge, including budgeting and cost control
- Experience with Sage accounting software is preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confidence interacting with management, ownership, external partners, and staff
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
