Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Supervisor to support our growing operations in the construction and building materials industry.
This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions, supporting recruitment, and ensuring smooth communication between management and local teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-oriented, and familiar with the Canadian construction or engineering business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
Support hiring efforts for sales, operations, and technical roles
Act as a bridge between management and employees, ensuring clear communication
Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with Ontario labor regulations
Handle employee inquiries, conflict resolution, and performance tracking
Coordinate training and team development initiatives
Support payroll coordination and benefits administration Qualifications
3+ years of HR experience in Canada (experience in construction, engineering, or related industries preferred)
Strong understanding of Ontario employment standards
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and multicultural environment
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience working with local contractors, builders, or engineering teams
Familiarity with Canadian workplace culture and communication style
Strong ability to build relationships with local clients and partners
