Legal Technician
Duties
The Research Contracts Bureau drafts, revises, and negotiates research agreements with third parties to ensure compliance with laws and regulations while protecting the interests of the establishment and researchers. This role involves autonomously reviewing and drafting legal documents, negotiating contracts, and assisting lawyers in executing their files.
Hard requirements
- Ability to review research contracts (clinical, fundamental, confidentiality, material transfer, collaboration, sub-contracts, services, etc.)
- Ability to draft and revise legal documents
- Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders (researchers and research teams) to obtain necessary information
- Ability to communicate with external stakeholders (funding agencies, private companies, other hospitals/research centers) to negotiate contracts when requested by a lawyer
- Ability to conduct legal research
- Ability to assist lawyers in executing their files
- Ability to ensure the BCR file tracking system («AGIR») is up to date
- Ability to manage the signature process via AdobeSign software and file organization
