Job description
Working under the direction of the Early Childhood Educator, the Early Learning Assistant assists in providing childcare to students after school, enhancing play, and guiding behavior.
Hard requirements
- Completion of a High School diploma
- Minimum one (1) year post-secondary experience providing childcare to school age children in a group setting
- Valid Standard First Aid certification/CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
- Police Record Check for the Vulnerable sector, valid within the last 6 months for new employees or within the last 5 years for current OCDSB employees
- Immunization Record with MMR and Tdap vaccination
- Declaration of previously having chicken pox (or chicken pox immunization)
Pay & benefits
$19.79 - $24.84 + 4% vacation pay/hour
