Duties
The Principal Counsel, Privacy provides strategic legal advice on privacy, AI, and anti-spam matters across multiple jurisdictions. This role supports business innovation by translating legal requirements into internal policies and managing regulatory interactions.
Hard requirements
- Minimum of ten years of experience in a leading law firm or established in-house legal/privacy department
- Membership in the Bar of a province essential
- Solid understanding of PIPEDA, Quebec’s Private Sector Act, and CASL
- Familiarity with GDPR and other international privacy laws
- Eligibility to work in the country of interest at the time of offer
