Job description
The Heavy Equipment Operator safely and efficiently operates municipal heavy equipment for infrastructure construction, maintenance, and repair. The role involves daily inspections, executing work to municipal standards, and supporting community safety through reliable service delivery.
Hard requirements
  • Valid New Brunswick class 1E driver's license
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in a Municipal setting
  • Experience operating excavation equipment in and around water and sewer mains
  • Experience operating Municipal ice and snow control equipment
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and/or written instructions efficiently
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication and customer service skills for regular public interaction
  • Ability to read, write, and adequate comprehension/retention skills
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
Pay & benefits
  • $24–$45/hr
