Job description
The Commission is seeking an experienced cybersecurity and technology leader to serve as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in Saint John or Fredericton. The CISO leads the cybersecurity program, strengthens security posture, and provides strategic leadership for governance, risk management, and incident response.
Hard requirements
- A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure operations and cloud technologies.
- A minimum of five (5) years of people management experience, including staff supervision, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
- Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management, security operations, compliance programs, and technology infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-53, CIS Controls, ISO/IEC 27001 and Zero Trust principles.
- Demonstrated experience leading secure cloud, infrastructure, endpoint, network and identity services in a complex technology environment.
- Experience managing technology vendors, contracts, procurement activities, and service providers.
