long haul truck driver

Job description
Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods, including dangerous goods, as part of a two-person team or convoy. Plan routes using GPS to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions while maintaining professionalism in customer service.
Hard requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years experience
  • Long-haul transportation/travel experience
  • Experience operating GPS and other navigation equipment
  • Knowledge of documentation including accident reports, bill of lading, dangerous goods occurrence reports, driver logbook, inspection reports, maintenance/repair reports, and trip reports
