horticulture technician
Job description
Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens while applying fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides. Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease, and apply treatments such as pruning, spraying, and repairing damaged areas.
Hard requirements
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in Agriculture, general or Horticultural science
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in plant growth and development and pesticides
