Job description
Hairstylists analyze hair and scalp condition, cut and style hair according to client preferences, and provide custom treatments in a barbershop or salon setting. They also supervise apprentices, manage appointments, and advise clients on styles and products.
Hard requirements
- Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
- Hairstylist Trade Certification
- Hairstyling Red Seal Certificate
- Hairstylist Licence
- Own transportation or vehicle (public transportation is available)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and combine sitting, standing, walking
- Client focus, dependability, reliability, and team player skills
