Job description
The Ministry of Community Safety is seeking Scale Officers to enforce transportation legislation on Saskatchewan highways. The role involves inspecting commercial vehicles, conducting investigations, preparing reports, laying charges, and appearing in court.
Hard requirements
- Valid Canadian Class 5 driver's licence
- Valid First Aid/AED certification
- Successful completion of required physical, medical, and psychological assessments including SOPAT/PARE/POPAT standards
- Successful completion of commercial vehicle enforcement, inspection, and use-of-force training
- Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, digital, data literacy, and decision-making skills
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively
