Duties
Masonry workers prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, stone, or firebricks for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. The role involves cutting materials to specification and building structures such as chimneys, fireplaces, and industrial smokestacks.
Hard requirements
- No degree, certificate or diploma required
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- Physically demanding work including handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Personal suitability traits: accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, team player
