Job description
The Utility 6-Arborist carries out comprehensive arboricultural duties throughout the City of Moncton's urban tree population, with daily climbing of all types of trees under all conditions as the primary function.
Hard requirements
  • Graduation from Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant program OR Designated as a Utility Arborist Journeyperson OR Designated as an Arborist Journeyperson with the Province of New Brunswick
  • ISA Certified Arborist Certification, Chainsaw Safety Training, Standard First Aid and CPR, Arboricultural Electrical Safety, Construction Signing & Traffic Control, Bucket Evacuation Safety
  • Minimum of 3 years of aerial work with climbing and bucket truck operation
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in rigging and removal of mature trees in an urban setting using ropes, cranes, slings, friction brakes, etc.
  • English essential
  • Valid Class 3E driver's license
