Job description
The Driver, Client Transportation provides regular assistance to clients by transporting them from their homes to designated facilities and attending to client needs while in custody. The role involves driving seniors to appointments or VON clinics in Halifax and Sackville using an accessible vehicle.
Hard requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of one year of experience working with seniors and adults with disabilities
- Valid driver's permit and clean driver's abstract (obtained annually)
- Proof of required insurance coverage when using personal vehicle
- Current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check upon start of employment
- Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check
- Ability to speak French is an asset
- Must possess own vehicle
Pay & benefits
- $17–$38/hr
