Npu diagnostics software engineer
Job description
The Diagnostics team develops software to bring up, validate, and qualify AMD's Neural Processing Unit (NPU) IP inside APUs. You will design diagnostics to validate NPU hardware at the system level from pre-silicon through production.
Hard requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Proven experience in low-level or embedded software development with direct hardware interaction
- Strong C++ programming skills
- Good understanding of computer architecture and operating systems
- Experience with software development and debugging in Linux
- Experience with debuggers (GDB, WinDbg, etc.)
- Familiarity with source control systems (Git, SVN, Perforce)
- Strong debugging, testing, and communication skills
