Job description
The RCMP Digital Program is staffing IT-02 positions to support modern digital capabilities, cybersecurity, and investigative technologies for federal policing. Candidates may be established in a pool for indeterminate or specified period appointments within the RCMP.
Hard requirements
- Graduation from a two-year post-secondary program in computer science, IT, information management, or relevant specialty (or acceptable combination of education/training/experience)
- Experience working in an Information Technology field
- Experience in two of four areas: application configuration, integration, testing, or support
- Experience writing and reviewing technical documentation
- Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving application errors or defects
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Ability to plan and organize
- Judgement / Analytical thinking, Cooperation and Collaboration, Adaptability and Flexibility
- Various language requirements including English Essential; Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB or CBC/CBC may apply
- Reliability and Security clearance (RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status, Secret, or Top Secret) with indoctrination required for specific areas
- Canadian citizenship required for Top Secret clearance
- Willingness and ability to support a 24/7 system including on-call rotation
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as required
- Willingness to work on site five days per week for specific areas (e.g., Classified Environment)
- Willingness and ability to work shift work including weekends and holidays for specific areas
Pay & benefits
- $86K–$105K/yr
