Job description
IT Analyst supporting the RCMP Digital Program's modernization efforts, including application configuration, integration, testing, and support for national policing initiatives.
Hard requirements
- Graduation from a two-year post-secondary program in computer science, IT, information management, or relevant specialty (or acceptable combination of education/training/experience)
- Experience working in an Information Technology (IT) field
- Experience in two of four areas: application configuration, integration, testing, or support
- Experience writing and reviewing technical documentation
- Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving application errors or defects
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Ability to plan and organize
- English Essential language requirement
- Canadian citizenship required for Top Secret clearance; persons residing in Canada, or Canadian citizens/permanent residents abroad are eligible
- Willingness and ability to support a 24/7 system including on-call rotation
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as required
- Reliability and Security clearance (Enhanced Reliability, Secret, or Top Secret)
Pay & benefits
- $85,854 to $105,080
- Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 are deemed to meet minimum education standards
- Preference given to veterans first, followed by Canadian citizens and permanent residents (exceptions apply for Nunavut/Yukon)
Work format
- Employment type: Indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment)
- Schedule: Support a 24/7 system; willingness to work shift work including weekends and holidays for specific areas
- Location type: Willingness to work on site five days per week for specific areas (e.g., Classified Environment)
