Job description
IT Analyst supporting the RCMP Digital Program's modernization efforts, including application configuration, integration, testing, and support for national policing initiatives.
Hard requirements
  • Graduation from a two-year post-secondary program in computer science, IT, information management, or relevant specialty (or acceptable combination of education/training/experience)
  • Experience working in an Information Technology (IT) field
  • Experience in two of four areas: application configuration, integration, testing, or support
  • Experience writing and reviewing technical documentation
  • Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving application errors or defects
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
  • Ability to plan and organize
  • English Essential language requirement
  • Canadian citizenship required for Top Secret clearance; persons residing in Canada, or Canadian citizens/permanent residents abroad are eligible
  • Willingness and ability to support a 24/7 system including on-call rotation
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as required
  • Reliability and Security clearance (Enhanced Reliability, Secret, or Top Secret)
Pay & benefits
  • $85,854 to $105,080
  • Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 are deemed to meet minimum education standards
  • Preference given to veterans first, followed by Canadian citizens and permanent residents (exceptions apply for Nunavut/Yukon)
Work format
  • Employment type: Indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment)
  • Schedule: Support a 24/7 system; willingness to work shift work including weekends and holidays for specific areas
  • Location type: Willingness to work on site five days per week for specific areas (e.g., Classified Environment)
